Friday, April 10, 2010 at 8:00 PM
The Strand Theatre
400 Clifton Avenue
Lakewood, NJ 08701
(732) 367-7789

“Songwriters by the Sea” show, featuring hosts Joe D’Urso and Joe Rapolla and guests Glen Burtnik and Quincy Mumford performing their own songs and a favorite cover tune while talking about the craft of song-writing. Long-time Jersey artists D’Urso and Rapolla brought the Songwriters series to the Strand in March 2009. They will be joined for this edition by Glen Burtnik, an award-winning songwriter who has had a multi-faceted musical career, starting with his portrayal of Paul McCartney on Broadway in “Beatlemania,” and including two stints with the multi-platinum rock group Styx. Opening the show will be up-and-coming singer-songwriter Quincy Mumford, who nabbed three Asbury Music Awards in 2009 and recently celebrated the release of his new cd, “South Edgemere,” at the Stone Pony. Additional performers are expected to be announced shortly.

*Ever wanted to watch a concert while sitting onstage with the artist? You’ll get that chance at Lakewood’s historic Strand Theater with the “Backstage Pass” series of shows, where the audience will be seated on the stage, looking at the performers and out at the 1922 theater’s beautifully renovated interior.

TICKET PRICE: $20.00
